Quick review in pictures

Exterior design

New Speed variant gets up to 23-inch wheels.
Headlamps get dark internals.
Tail lamps have clear lenses.
Front and rear bumpers have a sportier look.

Interior Space and comfort

Speed is not available in EWB guise, but there's no shortage of space or comfort.
Rear seats get heating, ventilation, massage and powered adjustment.

Standard features

10.9-inch central touchscreen
590W, 12-speaker audio system
Matrix LED headlamps
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
8 airbags, park assist

Engine and specs

W12 has made way for a non-hybrid, 4.0-litre V8
Makes 650hp and 850Nm; comes with an 8-speed AT.
0-100kph: 3.6sec; Top-Speed: 310kph (claimed).

Performance

Acceleration is forceful in Sport mode, backed by a raucous roar from the titanium pipes.
There’s noticeable performance difference between Sport and Comfort/Bentley modes.

Ride and handling

It feels remarkably light on its feet for a car of its size and weight.
On a dirt track, it was eager to kick its tail out at every oppurtunity.

Pros:
Superb mix of ride comfort and handling
Luxurious interior with rich customisation

Cons:
Could have used the 780hp PHEV powertrain
Some interior plastics not up to the mark

Verdict

Bentayga’s new-found naughty side elevates it above the rest of the range.
Deftly hops between limousine plush and razor sharp at the flick of a switch.
