Travi Head’s hundred puts Australia in command

Jasprit Bumrah gave India the breakthroughs early on Day 2 of the Day-Night Test happening at the Adelaide Oval. The fast bowler picked the wickets of Nathan McSweeney and Steve Smith. 

Marnus Labuschagne left poor form behind him as he completed a patient half-century.

Labuschagne and Travis Head struck a partnership and carried Australia to 191/4 at Tea

Indian newcomer Nitish Kumar Reddy continued to impress as he ended Marnus Labuschagne’s resistance. 

Ravichandran Ashwin picked his first wicket of the tour as he removed Mitchell Marsh. 

Travis Head, however, continued to march on. The left-handed batter toyed with the Indian attack and completed a blistering century. 

Mohammed Siraj ended Travis Head’s breathtaking knock as he clean bowled the left-handed batter. 

Travis Head walked back to a standing ovation from the Adelaide Oval crowd as he scored 140 off just 141 balls. 

Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah combined to clean up the Australian tail. The hosts were all-out on 337, leading India by 125 runs. 

Scott Boland and Pat Cummins picked two wickets each while Mitchell Starc claimed one scalp as India lost 5 wickets in the third session. 

Rishabh Pant and Nitish Reddy remained not out as India finished the day at 128/5, trailing Australia by 29 runs.
