R9 has finally been revealed and it uses the MT-09’s engine in the same state of tune, makes 119hp and 93Nm of torque
Engine is housed in a new aluminium deltabox frame that’s developed specifically for this bike and weighs just 9.7kg.
Fully-adjustable KYB suspension and the monoshock gets a remote preload adjuster.
Braking is handled by a radial Brembo master cylinder and Stylema calipers mated to 320mm front discs and a single-piston caliper paired to a 220mm rear disc.
The R9 weighs just 195kg, which is just 2kg more than the MT-09.
Gets a full suite of rider aids like riding modes, traction control, ABS, power modes, engine brake control and cruise control, among others.
All the information is displayed to the rider via a 5-inch TFT display.
The R9 can be had in three colours – blue, black, and red/white.
We could also see a higher-spec M or SP variant down the line and maybe even a Y-AMT.
