NHAI has rolled out Tamil Nadu’s first MLFF tolling system at Paranur on the Tambaram–Tindivanam section.
WHAT CHANGED
The barrier-free system is designed to reduce queues and idling at the toll location.
HOW IT WORKS
RFID readers and number-plate cameras identify the vehicle and process the applicable user fee.
DRIVER CHECK
The rollout began on 1 Oct; NHAI says sufficient balance helps avoid an electronic notice.
