A proposed 5,000 KL capacity fuel farm at Jaipur International Airport aims to reduce aircraft turnaround time and enhance operational efficiency, ToI reported on July 17. Currently, refueling involves trucks fetching fuel from a station and then refilling aircraft, a process that can be time-consuming.
With a fuel farm, airlines can have their trucks ready on-site, speeding up the refueling process.
A senior airport official told the newspaper, "The plan includes constructing a fuel farm near the state hangar, which will streamline operations.
" Additionally, new taxiways, an apron, and a Rapid Exit Taxiway (RET) will be built to allow aircraft to vacate runways quickly.
