ATF price hiked by over 3 per cent in Delhi, Mumbai

Jet fuel (ATF) prices have been increased by 3.3% to Rs 90,538.72 per kilolitre in the national capital, following previous reductions. The price of commercial LPG was hiked by Rs 62 to Rs 1,802 per 19-kg cylinder. Prices for petrol and diesel remain unchanged since mid-March.

Jet fuel, or aviation turbine fuel (ATF), saw a 3.3 per cent price hike on Friday, rising by Rs 2,941.5 per kilolitre to Rs 90,538.72 per kl in Delhi, as per state-owned fuel retailers.

This increase comes after two recent cuts had brought rates to their lowest level this year.

Previously, ATF prices were reduced by 6.3 per cent (Rs 5,883 per kl) on October 1 and by 4.58 per cent (Rs 4,495.5 per kl) on September 1. In Mumbai, the ATF price climbed to Rs 84,642.91 per kl on Friday from the previous Rs 81,866.13. In addition, oil companies raised the price of commercial LPG by Rs 62, bringing the cost of a 19-kg cylinder to Rs 1,802. This marks the fourth consecutive monthly increase in commercial LPG prices , following previous hikes of Rs 48.5 on October 1, Rs 6.5 on August 1, and Rs 39 on September 1. The combined effect of four monthly increases has raised prices by Rs 156, following a cumulative reduction of Rs 148 over the preceding four months.

Currently, a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder costs Rs 1,754.50 in Mumbai, Rs 1,911.50 in Kolkata, and Rs 1,964.50 in Chennai.

Domestic cooking gas prices remain unchanged at Rs 803 for a 14.2-kg cylinder.

State-owned companies Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) adjust ATF and LPG prices on the first day of each month, reflecting the average international benchmark fuel price and the foreign exchange rate.

State-run oil companies cut the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder price by Rs 183.50 from July 1, 2026 and reduced aviation turbine fuel by Rs 5 per litre to about Rs 110 in Delhi. The move offers relief to restaurants, hotels and airlines, but household LPG, petrol and diesel users are still waiting.
