As the India-Pakistan conflict seems to stretch into the second week, state-run Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) said on Friday that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the country.

India consumes more than 5 million barrels per day (mb/d) of fuel and around 30 million tonnes (mt) LPG annually.

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) said that it has “ample fuel stocks” spread across the country with supply lines performing efficiently.

“There is no need for pain buying.

Fuel and LPG is readily available at all outlets,” said the country’s largest auto fuel and LPG marketer.

IndianOil operates more than 37,500 fuel stations across India and delivers over 26 lakh lPG cylinders daily.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL), which operates over 23,500 fuel stations and more than 6,200 LPG distributorships, assured all citizens that sufficient Petrol, Diesel, CNG, and LPG are available across its vast nationwide network.

All BPCL fuel stations and LPG distributorships, across its nationwide network are operating smoothly and are fully equipped to meet the energy needs of consumers, the OMC said.

“There is no cause for concern or panic buying.

Our supply chain operations remain robust and efficient, ensuring uninterrupted supplies.

We urge all customers to remain calm.

BPCL remains steadfast in its commitment to energy accessibility and reliability,” BPCL added.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) said it has sufficient fuel and LPG stocks across the country and the supply chain is operating seamlessly.

It has over 24,700 fuel stations and more than 6,300 LPG distributors.

“There is absolutely no need for panic buying.

Fuel and LPG are readily available at all HPCL outlets.
